Sorting Mapped keys

Hi.

I was wondering if there is a way to move the mapped keys around in the list. I've messed back and forth adding keys and ended up with a list that looks kinda messy, like key for 1,2,5,6,shift+4,y,u,i,3,4 (for example) and I was wanting to move the 3 and 4 between 2 and 5, to make it easier to find and get a better overlook over my keybinds. It there a way to do that? I've looked in the config file and it seems like I could cut and paste them around in there if theres no easier way, or will that mess anything up?

Assuming you keep the XML valid, that will work fine.

I've been meaning to add a way to sort them and move them around. I'll make sure that goes in the next ISBoxer build

Cool; that is a feature, I'd really to have.

Thanks, Lax.

Ah nice to know - I had been trying to work that out myself as well. Def. a feature I would like to see as my Keymaps get more and more fleshed out as I add more Characters.

I'm adding most of my new keymaps to General.

My list started off like this:

Key 1
Key 2
Key 3
Key 4

And then changed to:

Key 1 (Red/Blue) - All Press this.
Key 2 (Red/Blue/Black) - All Press this.
Key 3 (Red/Black) - All Press this.
Key 4
Key 1 (Black) - Staggered Presses.
Key 3 (Blue) - Sends to whatever.

I'd love to have sorting:

Key 1 (Red/Blue) - All Press this.
Key 1 (Black) - Staggered Presses.
Key 2 (Red/Blue/Black) - All Press this.
Key 3 (Red/Black) - All Press This.
Key 3 (Blue) - Sends to whatever.
Key 4

I am looking forward to this request being fulfilled as well. But...a workaround in the time being [if you're not comfortable with editing the XML file] would be just to just copy and re-paste the same keymaps in the order you wish to have them. By default they'll re-paste with the same name and a '1' at the end. Once you're done re-ordering them delete your old, out-of-order, keymaps and rename your newly copied keymaps to their original names.

Obviously if you have 50,000 keymaps this might not be the solution for you.

EDIT:

Noticed that you can just click 'Make copy' and it will automatically paste things in the order you want them. Removing a step of you having to re-paste them yourself.
