Do Mapped Key

Basically asking...

If I take my default FTL DPS Key.
Change it to - execute a step on press or release.
Modify it, to two steps.
Step 1 - Do Mapped Key Action (IWT Mapped Key)
Step 2 - Do normal FTL DPS.

If I have another mapped key, which toggles my IWT mapped key on and off.
While my IWT mapped key is disabled, would the above FTL DPS work normally.
As in, as if only Step 2 were there?

Is there any conflict from calling a disabled mapped key?

I'd ideally like to:
a) When the IWT Mapped Key is enabled, I have IWT built into my FTL DPS keys.
b) When I disable the Mapped Key, my FTL DPS keys function as if they were 1 step only.

No. By design there is no harm in using a Do Mapped Key Action to do a disabled mapped key -- in fact this is what I was suggesting you and others try in various posts here and on d-b.
However, Zanthor did recently find a bug when disabling a multi-step mapped key and then using Do Mapped Key Action, which would break mapped keys. If you're running into something that sounds like that, try this version: http://www.lavishsoft.com/downloads/mods/Lavish.ISBoxerSuite.34.unbreak.exe

What you are doing is designed to work, aside from the described bug. I do something much like this in my own setup to switch my ret pallies between spending their AoW procs on instant flash of light vs instant exorcism.

Re: Do Mapped Key

Oh wow. This just opens up a huge range of possibilities.

So your Exo/Flash keymap looks something like this Lax?

Keymap Nuke/Heal Stuff:

Step1:
Do Mapped Key FTL Assist Me -> Self
Do Mapped Key Exorcism -> All Ret Paladins
Do Mapped Key Flash Of Light Tank -> All Ret Paladins

Keymap Toggle Heal/Nuke:
Step 1:
Key Map State Exorcism OFF
Key Map State Flash Of Light Tank ON
MSG Screen Self Healing Tank
Step 2:
Key Map State Exorcism ON
Key Map State Flash Of Light Tank OFF
MSG Screen Self Nuking! Kachow!

Something like this?

Re: Do Mapped Key

Yes, very much like that -- but with another version of FoL that each casts on himself. Then the Exorcism Mapped Key is enabled by default, and the two FoL keys are disabled by default -- this is very specifically what I added the new "Do not load this Mapped Key when the Key Map is loaded" option for (so I don't need additional Key Maps just to make them default to off).

Then my toggle is a 3-step rotation. First step is "Defensive" with heals on themselves, next step is "Defensive - Heals on Tank" like you have with FoL, and the third step returns it to the default "Full DPS" mode. I bound it to something convenient -- Alt+Mouse5 -- that I can hit quickly in the middle of combat to switch as needed. It works very well!
