Problem with Reset to Step 1 after XX seconds from advancing

Lax:

I have a setup which uses a keypress to trigger a key map rotation. In that key map rotation, I have it set to Reset to Step 1 after 61 seconds from advancing to Step 2, and on Step 4 set to "Do not advance to the next step" and set the set to step 1.

This appears to work fine for keeping me repeating steps 2 through 4 during the cooldown time for the buff that is triggered in step 1. However, after that time has expired, every subsequent press of my triggering keypress appears to fire step 1, and only step 1. Specific keys in here is the Group DPS Key Map ST DPS (or AE DPS) Mapped Keys, calling the ST DPS Rotation (or AE DPS Rotation) Keys in the Champion DPS Key Map.

I've included the profile from my isboxer setup.

Thanks, I've fixed the bug for next update, which is currently waiting on some beta features.

In the meantime, you should get your desired behavior by setting it to reset "from the first Hotkey press". The main difference between that and "from advancing to Step 2" is not really relevant to your situation since the first press also advances it (noting that the "Hotkey" bit is a misnomer in this case since you don't have a Hotkey directly assigned and are using a Do Mapped Key Action; the Do Mapped Key Action triggers the same behavior as a direct Hotkey would). It would be different, however, if you had a "Do not advance" configured on Step 1.

The reason I had it set to using the "from advancing to Step 2" is that in my testing, it was never resetting to Step 1 when set to "from first Hotkey press". I assumed this was because I wasn't using a hotkey to trigger it, but as you stated that shouldn't be causing it.

I'll give it a quick whirl on my end and see if I have any better luck, since I was trying a couple things at a time to try and get it to work last night.

Edit: Just tried it. Same configuration, just changed that setting in the AE DPS Rotation and ST DPS Rotation Key maps, and they never reset to Step 1 for me.

Just tried it. Same configuration, just changed that setting in the AE DPS Rotation and ST DPS Rotation Key maps, and they never reset to Step 1 for me.

When you use a Mapped Key Step Action to set the Step of your Mapped Key, it resets the reset timer.

The good news is that when the current beta is released, you will have a simpler method of managing this part of your rotation. You will have the ability to disable Step 1 after it executes, and set a timer as part of Step 1 to re-enable it (and can set to this Step at that time as well).

For anyone that is curious, I solved the problem with the current build by implementing it slightly differently.

I have 1 rotation that calls the buff in Step 1, and then in Step 2 calls a different key map that has the actual skill rotation. I set Step 2 to "Do Not advance", and the whole rotation to reset after a 61 second time from hotkey press.

It appears to be working fully this way. It's a little bit more in the setup, so I'll look forward to the new implementations that are coming from the current Beta version to get even more control.
