Action Target Group membership checking

Hi Lax.

There is a feature that I feel could make some tasks easier to map out. That feature is to be able to perform an action conditionally on their membership of an ATG. This is not to be confused with the existing ability to send an action to an ATG. For example I could send mapped key action 'Blam!' to 'Group (all of): Mages' but only if they are a member of 'Group: Active Characters'.

Thanks for reading :D

Re: Action Target Group membership checking

I've thought of another way to implement this that would require a lot less mucking around with existing configs. As such it isn't even related to keymaps but is an extension of Action Target Groups. If an ATG could be set to dynamically be a combination of 2 other ATGs, then the functionality suggested in the previous post is automatically provided.

Again, thanks for reading. Feedback appreciated :)

Re: Action Target Group membership checking

Sorry for the lack of response, I'm not ignoring you ;) Busy week.

It is possible to do what you're saying, with a little bit of cleverness.

Here's the logic. I'll make up some names for the ATGs to make it easy to follow, say you have a Healers ATG, and a Druids ATG, and you want to send something to Healers but only if they're also Druids. Start out with a Mapped Key that's not currently active, and only performs actions in the current window. Use a Mapped Key State Action (or a Key Map State Action depending on whether you want to toggle individual mapped keys, or an entire key map) to enable it for Healers, then use a Do Mapped Key Action to execute it for Druids -- or vice versa. As long as you enable it for one ATG, but execute it for the other ATG, it will only work for the intersection of the two sets (Druid Healers in this example).

 Now that is a cool (and presumably undocumented) feature. Thanks for pointing this out. :)
