Help with TSW. Argh!

I am playing "The Secret World" and I could not find a forum games section for it so I apologize if this is the wrong space.

I am having issues with my settings being saved when logging out of the game.
Further more I get an error when starting that says:

* "Your profile could not be opened correctly."
*"some features may be unavailable. Please check that the profile exists
*and you have permission to read and write it contents."

The settings are not being saved and I have to reconfigure them every time.

Any support help would be much appreciated as well as any further resources to help me get TSW work smoothly.

Best Regards, James :D

Re: Help with TSW. Argh!

If you're having write permission issues, then it's entirely possible that you aren't running (I'm assuming) Inner Space as an administrator. If your UAC is disabled, then you should right-click on the shortcut (or exe file), and choose to run the program as an administrator.

Re: Help with TSW. Argh!

I have the same problem. It seems like the virtual Prefs_3.xml files are being created but not consistently being read. There is some "Chromium" popup that says it failed to read the Preferences.

I suspect that as soon as one instance is running, that instance hogs the original Prefs_3 file and the other instances will also try to use that file instead of the virtual ones.

Any ideas Lax?

Re: Help with TSW. Argh!

If it helps, making each Character run from their own TSW directory seems to fix this....but that is a lot of disc space >< Something must be running from the game directory that can't be run again from isboxer....just need to figure out which file in the gamedirectory to virtualise....
