Vanguard - List of problems

Game: Vanguard
Setup: 2 sessions (1 Active, 1 Inactive)
Monitor: 24" 1920x1200

ISBoxer worked great in the past but recently, I am having problems.

After numerous attempts at changing the settings in the Windows Layout, I am finally able to get ISBoxer semi-working. As it stands, I have to click 5-7 times on the inactive session to get it to appear as the active active session. Most of the time, it will just either show the desktop or reshow the current active session. In the past, I just click once and it would swap the Inactive with the Active correctly.

I tried using the "User Development Release" but using it prevents loading the 2nd session.

I have tried clean install and reinstall of ISBoxer.

Below is what I noticed and I hope it helps in identifying and fixing this problem:

V1.10 (Build 5170)

(Default settings)
1) Loads correctly
2) sessions swap correctly with 1 and 2
3) cursor is off by 1" higher than where it should be
4) Unknown command 'snapset' on session 1
5) session 2 is slightly bigger than setting 640x300

(unchecked: Remove border around main window)
1) loads correctly
2) sessions swap but after a while, session 2 locks up
3) mouse position is correct
4) Unknown command 'snapset' on session 1
5) session 2 is slightly bigger than setting 640x300

(unchecked: only deactivate for game windows)
1) loads correctly
2) sessions swap randomly (desktop, reshow current session, or may show inactive session #2)
3) cursor is off by 1" higher than where it should be
4) Unknown command 'snapset' on session 1
5) session 2 is correct size of 640x300

(unchecked: Remove border around main window)
(unchecked: only deactivate for game windows)

V1.10 (Build 5208) - User Developement Release
1) Doesn't look like ISBoxer finishes initalizing
2) Session 2 does not show up

Unknown command 'snapset' is normal and expected.

When you say "Doesn't look like ISBoxer finishes initalizing" is the game launched? did you check the console to see what happened?

You can revert to Inner Space 1.09 build 5039 in the meantime but I do need to get this issue solved, so I would appreciate more information on that
1. Right click IS and select Patcher
2. Uncheck "Always patch" and close IS
3. Extract http://www.lavishsoft.com/downloads/Lavish.InnerSpace.5039.zip over your Inner Space folder
Your settings are kept intact.

To answer your question, the game launched... it stops on the 1st session and doesn't load the 2nd session. I looked at the console and noticed it stopped at isxvg loaded but ISBoxer does not import the settings from ISBoxerToolkit.GeneralSettings.XML It hangs there not starting the 2nd session

As for Inner Space 1.09 build 5039, I'm having these problems:
1) It does start loading both sessions
2) 1st session when I login turns into a white screen
3) 2nd session when I log in causes the 1st session to disappear, and the 2nd session to freeze... I see the icon on the taskbar but clicking it does nothing

I retried but this time I did the following.
1) I logged into the 2nd session first and it went to the character select screen and moved to the inactive session
2) I then logged into the 1st session and it went to the character select and moved to the inactive session infront of the other inactive session. No active session.
3) I clicked on the inactive session and it went active
4) I clicked on the inactive section again to swap sessions but all it did was hide the active session behind the inactive session.
5) I clicked again and it pops it up and rehides it again very fast.
6) I tried again but nothing happens.
7) I clicked on the taskbar to bring up the 1st session and it goes active, 2nd session (inactive) goes black and is not responsive

Not sure what info you need from me to help figure this out. I am running 64-bit version of Windows 7.

... and without ISXVG?

Do you see nothing at all in the in-game console from ISBoxer with 5208? (without the above) The 2nd session will only launch when the first one reports back to the main program that ISBoxer initialized successfully, so thats why it would not launch the second one.

I'll be able to answer your question once ISXVG has been updated. The game patched the other day.

All you need to do to answer my question is delete isxvg.dll
