D2R - 5Gb per client
Feedback on D2R
Been trying to get D2R running today. Bottleneck for me was that each client is using 4 Gb (running) - 5.5Gb (loading) of RAM. I can get 3 clients running on my 16Gb machine but it often lags and clients crash. Try running more clients than I have RAM for causes an instance to immediately crash.
Present limit for me (GTX 1070 (latest drivers), Win 10 updated, Ryzen 7 1700) is 2 clients on a 16 Gb machine. I'd guess an 8Gb machine can only reliably run 1 client.
I've ordered 32Gb so I'll try remember update this but if other folk could list how many clients they are running and on how much RAM that would be useful.
Mem peaks are at max when client is loading so I've found loading 1 slot at a time from Inner Space -> Character Set Slots to be much more stable than trying to run Character Sets from ISBoxer Toolkit.
Thanks as always for your ongoing work Lax.
