Anarchy Online

I was curious what is and isn't supported for the current Anarchy Online client. I know the official response is nothing, but I can say from experience that several people I have talked to in game have it working to some degree. Unfortunately I can't seem to get in touch with any of them at the moment for any tips and tricks. Here is what I know.

Not long ago account login was handled via the launcher which caused problems it seems, but that is no longer the case. Also AO still uses DX7 so overlays and many other things can't be supported. It just leaves me wondering what "is" supported? To compound my difficulties this is the first time I have ever used ANY multiboxing software, and this one seems very...full featured and complex.

As I said on IRC, and MiRai reiterated, you must use the Beta DirectX 9 client to multibox AO with ISBoxer. You cannot multibox the old DirectX 7 client with ISBoxer because ISBoxer only works with DirectX 8 or later, and there are no plans to introduce DirectX 7 support. Nothing is supported in the old DirectX 7 client; everything should work fine on AO's new DirectX 9 client.

Thanks for the heads up. However, should anyone else want some info on what actually does work here is what I have found.

I am able to get the software to launch multiple instances. With some fiddling I was able to get key broadcasting to work. Don't ask me how though. Much fiddling was done. So if anyone else wants to add to this feel free as I am sure there are other people that are curious as well.

Sorry to have bothered with the question, as I knew the game was officially unsupported (I did read the wiki first), but was curious what all features did work as I know for a fact many people use the software for the old DX7 client of AO. I was looking for more of a discussion than support, if you catch my meaning.
