No need to get testy with Alge for trying to help you...
Everyone who multiboxes WoW deals with the issue you are describing. It is built into WoW to break auto-follow during combat. When you melee, or when you use a channeled spell (this is the only
reason your ranged would break follow, if they are not meleeing), follow breaks.
Typically during non-PVP combat, you don't need to worry about it because your target isn't running circles around you. You can just run slightly past the mob with your tank, turn around, and the mob is between you and your followers.
During PVP combat and especially with melee teams, you can use
Interact with Target to make your guys move to your target.
Regarding having to re-auto-follow
after combat, some people like the
Jamba Addon's auto-follow after combat feature. Personally, I leave this feature of Jamba disabled, and I manually hit my follow Hotkey (which by the way doesn't have to be Alt+F, you can make it something more convenient to you if you want).
The Jamba Addon also has a follow strobing feature, which can keep re-following every second or so. If you have the Jamba Addon, ISBoxer can toggle this feature with Shift+Alt+F.
