text not readable in EVE Online

Hi, my problem is the following: I use ISBOXER now for more than 3 months on Windows XP x64 for my 3 EVE clients, but few days ago I reinstalled my PC with Windows 7 x64 Ultimate.
So I reconfigured my ISBOXER, my EVE Clients(fullscreen 1920*1080 inGame), and made in ISBOXER: 1 - 1280*960, 2 - 640*480, 3 - 640*480 (same as on my win XP was).

When I start now this ISBOXER profile it loads all screens in the right place, but the fonts are unreadable in all windows, this problem not occured on XP.

Can someone help me to fix it?

When you want to adjust the resolution of the game you are playing you need to do so in your isboxer configuration and not from inside the game. Also, you don't want to set the game to run in fullscreen mode inside the game because that will also cause the issues you are describing. To correct the problem, make sure you don't have any eve clients running and then open isboxer and make the adjustments in your Window Layout to configure things to your tastes. Then save and export to innerspace. You will see a popup informing you that one of your characters game configuration needs adjusting. Allow that and then launch your character set and you should be back to normal.

on the right side you see the text is not readable, on xp this was no problem it was sharp adn readable.

Can be the problem in InnerSpace default EVE setup?

So I installed an second OS : Windows XP Pro x64, and voilà isboxer and my EVE works and the text is readable..... So in Win 7 is something wrong, only the question is what.

Till I have the solution for Win 7, I will not use isboxer

1920x1080 vs 640x480 is not the same aspect ratio. Text will be distorted because of this. If the text is readable on XP, I would have to assume you are not running the windows at 1920x1080 in game...

Can you provide a screenshot of your "correct" layout on XP? One at the login screen so we can directly compare to the one you already posted would be great

I deleted the Win XP partition and now running on Win 7 x64, I created an new isboxer setting with 3 screens with the right aspect ratio, still it looks like the linked picture in my post.

I think this error with the text commes from win 7 and how the cgi is handled by my GPU and Windows setup.

I will now do few test with my video settings and will make pics of it.

Yeah... so... I asked for an image you are calling "correct" so that I have something to compare the "wrong" one to. The image you uploaded is basically the same as the last one, so there is no comparison.

Since you say you've deleted your Windows XP partition, I have to assume that I'm not going to get the config or an image from what you said was "correct". Therefore, I can't guarantee any solution I give you gets you identical results to what you had in Windows XP.

With that out of the way, my answer is still the same as before. The text is distorted because the game is rendering 1920x1080 (assuming you're right) in a 640x480 viewing space, and that's not the same aspect ratio. Width-wise, 640 fits into 1920 exactly 3 times (1920/640=3). However, 1080/480 is only 2.25. So to do this shrinking to the smaller size, you're showing 1 pixel for every 3 for the width, and 1 pixel for every 2.25 for the height (this means the rows of pixels are going to be uneven). For you to be correct that 1920x1080 rendered into 640x480 perfectly readable under Windows XP, but not in Windows 7, then I'm going to have to say that DX was doing sub-pixel rendering on Windows XP, but not on Windows 7 -- it's possible that the game's antialiasing setting may improve this.

But, here's what I'm going to suggest. The game was probably not rendering 1920x1080 under Windows XP if you are using 1280x960 and 640x480 window sizes. It was probably rendering 1280x960. Adjusting the resolution settings in each game window (note that it may be different in each one due to ISBoxer's virtualization of EVE's config file) to be 1280x960 might set you straight. It might also help to set each game window to Fullscreen mode. (ISBoxer puts it in a window either way)

Thank you for your help, I made all aspectratio in the correct way , but still the same.
I think this is some how made by win 7, yestarday I made an no-swaping configuration 1920x1080 for 3 clients in ISBOXER.
I exported to innerspace and started . Funny thing happend the resolution was not 1920x1080, it was 1280x960 in fullscreen. maybe i made some misstake.

Now i have an question? Is possible to have 3 full screen client an still use the isboxer swap functionality?

I have some information another user just shared that may help you resolve your blurry text issue:

I just installed Windows 7, and found the solution to the blurry text is to turn off Windows Cleartype Text

Control Panel -> Display -> Adjust ClearType Text -> Turn Off

(Follow-up question: is your monitor LCD or CRT?)
