Launch character set does nothing

I play EQ1 pretty regularly and almost every day the past two weeks.
I've been using isboxer for some years now so it's set up just the way I like it and has been pretty solid.
Today I launch isboxer and inner space, saw an update and a new "authorization" of some type. Went through a big hassle to make a new password since I haven't used it in at least the past 8 to 10 months. Finally get that all sorted, login and go to my character set, right click and "launch".
Icon whirs a little then nothing.
Try again, tried using different character sets, tried launching single toon then tried just launching EQ without isboxer.. it launched without issue.
close all programs associated with isboxer and re-open, same story.
I've tried a few different things.. nada.
Console output from trying plain "launch":

/====================================================
|
| 16:28:19 ISBoxer: Preparing to launch Character Set 'MAGE RAGE'
| 16:28:19 ISBoxer: Settings imported from ISBoxerToolkit.GeneralSettings.XML

| 16:28:19 ISBoxer: Launching Slot 1 Character 'UBER SK'
Successfully executed '"F:\Games\EQ\eqgame.exe" patchme'.

Console output from trying single toon:

/====================================================

| 16:42:53 ISBoxer: Settings imported from ISBoxerToolkit.GeneralSettings.XML

Something I saw in Console from an earlier attempt.

RunScript 'isboxer' failed

Re: Launch character set does nothing

So, 1 person said a reboot helped.

However, if there is launching issues, then the primary goto is a compatibility diagnostic.

Everything worked fine yesterday. Launched several times with no problems. Launched again this morning without issue.
Come home from work and get the update and now.. nada.

Re: Launch character set does nothing

So, does it work if you are not running your other EQ software?
It is possible that needs to be updated to be compatible with the new version of InnerSpace.

If that happens to be the case, you may want to attempt reverting to a previous build of InnerSpace, either by using the following command from a command prompt (or WIN+R):
Code:
"%programdata%\lavish software\utils\lavishbuild.exe" install innerspace live "1.16 build 6308"

Or by going old school and grabbing it from the archive.

Re: Launch character set does nothing

I'm also having the same issue. Launch character set does noting but create an "eqgame.exe.dmp" file in the Innerspace directory. Everything was working fine before ***, InnerSpace, and Everquest all got updated at the same time.

This problem only happens if *** (*************** Build) is running. If I quit *** and wait until the Everquest Login screen to start ***, everything works properly.

Re: Launch character set does nothing

We are aware of an issue with the popular EQ1 hack software, and I appreciate that you guys understand that the compatibility issue is between Inner Space/ISBoxer and that particular software, however you do not have permission to name or otherwise promote that software or its distributors.

The issue is within the EQ1 hack's "integrity checker" DLL, part of that distribution, that to my knowledge is not open source. When I chatted with the person apparently responsible for it, he didn't seem to understand what I was explaining to him about the crash, despite him having the same crash dump I had been given. I detailed basically a specific line of code, where that line of code is in his source code, and what the crash is. He seemed uninterested in pursuing the crash and I'm not sure he loaded the .dmp file, he said "I havent changed anything and I doubt you have either". This leads me to believe he has no idea what Inner Space does.

So that's where we're at.

For now I will recommend using the workaround of waiting until the login screen to start your EQ1 hack.

Re: Launch character set does nothing

Thanks for pointing me to the thread Lax, i am also having the same problem.

Edit: the game launches with all of my character slots if *** is NOT running. After i get to the character selection screen, i can turn the *** software back on and everything seems to work. Thank you for the work around.

Re: Launch character set does nothing

I 'm also having this issue. Loading Innerspace/ISB first and then the other program works to get in the game but once in game, random crashes start happening so it's not much or a workaround at all.

I can't play the game at all now because of this so I sure hope this gets resolved ASAP!

Thanks!
