Crashing

Regardless of the amount of account i could be running, one or all of my windows will get an error and shut themselves down. I have looked into similar issues but I cant seem to find a solution. My my drivers seem to be up to date. Any suggestions would be much appriciated.

Re: Crashing

1. You have EQ-specific software (we'll leave it at that) present in your compatibility diagnostics. For all of us to rule that out as the source of your crash while multiboxing, you will need to try without it. Other than that, not much of interest in your compatibility diagnostics.

2. We would REALLY like to see any information on the error/crash itself, as it should give us a more specific place to look than compatibility diagnostics. You say they "get an error and shut themselves down". What kind of error? Do all of your windows shut down at the same time?

Re: Crashing

The crash usually happens after zoning but can occur at any time. It usually does not close all accounts maybe 1-2 of the 6 or so. I have tried with or without said program and i still have the issue. Last night i was running 2 accounts and both crashed twice in about 15 minutes without zoning. Thank you for looking into this, sorry for the ignorance. Let me know what i can provide to better assist. I have pasted the details form crash last night below.

Re: Crashing

I am also crashing with the same type of behavior. Out of 6 accounts only 1-2 will crash at a time, usually during a handful of encounters in one zone

Here is link to the config:
https://pastebin.com/41saJekW

The crash appears to be the same as the above posts. Is there any logging which could be enabled, or dump files? Myself and another guildie can reproduce the issue.

Re: Crashing

You might need to try and get a memory dump. Before running your team there is some setup.

Download ProcDump from https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sys ... 96900.aspx. Unzip it and put it in a folder, like C:\DumpDir.
Open a command prompt as Admin
Change directory to the folder you put ProcDump in.
Enter the following at the prompt.
Code:
procdump -accepteula -e -t -h -f "" -w "eqgame.exe"
Press Enter to run it. It should Wait for the process to start.
Then run your team. When a window crashes, you should get a dmp file in the folder you were in when setting up ProcDump. Attach the file here, or send that to Lax@lavishsoft.com, along with a reference to what it is for (e.g. a pointer to this thread).

Re: Crashing

Thanks, I was able to get the procdump running, but we did not experience any issues this week during the encounters where we had been crashing. Not sure what may have changed.

I'll keep using procdump for the next several raids in case it happens again. Thanks for your help!
