Re: I'm new, can't launch Aion

For the parameters, the second is correct, when you've dragged the link to the Add Game window.
In the profile, the main executable parameters field does not need the path or the main executable name, because they are in other fields. I pulled out the whole line because that was what was showing on the shortcut. MiRai's prior post to mine showed only the parameters that are needed in the main executable parameters field.

As for your crash. Well I'm wondering now if you have multiple installs of Inner Space/ISBoxer If you do, then it is possible that when you are trying to export your character set details from ISBoxer, that they are not going to the same copy of Inner Space which is currently executing. This will cause a problem.

Also the other thing which might be getting you is that you will probably need to remake your team, and select the game profile you have added/edited with the correct parameters. If you want to check whether a game profile will execute your game, you can right click the Inner Space icon, and select the game profile from the top of the context menu (this is not how you launch a team, just test the game profile).

Your antivirus, IOBit has been known to cause problems with Inner Space. It may be necessary to uninstall it to see if that is causing your issue. At the very least setting up exclusions on Inner Space.exe, NCLauncher.exe, Aion.bin. Exclusions may work, but you can only fully test by uninstalling, because the filter drivers are still executing when you exclude/disable antivirus.

Finally, this is a list of the processes which are unnecessary to multiboxing Aion. You might consider shutting them down for testing purposes. Out of all of them, I'd start with IOBit.

Re: I'm new, can't launch Aion

Surprisingly it started launching after many times of crashes or half-successful events. I opened 4 Aion windows in InnerSpace, while a normal window also keeps running. But it only launches from my Aion6 "game". It was created this way by Adding Game:
Image
Then it not always worked. Then I created Aion7, Aion8, Aion9 absolutely same way but they don't work. I edited the configuration of my 1st created profile Aion, but it doesn't launch either. All in all the changes made by me were:
1) Allowed InnerSpace in Windows Firewall. It gave me the 1st launch of the black-blue Aion launcher window, then appeared several white windows about NCLauncher that stopped working, then nothing launched at all.
2) Disabled Iobit Maleware Fighter. It gave me the 2nd launch of the black-blue Aion launcher window, then appeared several white windows about NCLauncher that stopped working, then nothing launched at all. I disabled the service of Iobit Malware Fighter in msconfig, restarted the computer, made minor updates of drivers.
That successful attemptwas abrupted after I pressed on the blue button "Play" - Aion.bin stopped working. I thought it was because of my 64-32 converter.
3) I updated Aion, which killed the 64-32 converter. Was absent for like 30 min in a shop, came back, launched Aion6 and it opened the game in 64-bit while having this setting in configuration
Image
My character got a game but there appeared several white windows about NCLauncher that stopped working.
I closed the game because I wanted to play in 32 bit. I unchecked the 2nd box in the Configuration settings about 32-64. However, then nothing launched at all for like 10 min, I made various attempts.
4) Finally I got tired, disappointed and wanting to play my normal daily game. I patched Aion with a different 64-32 converter (if you want a file I can show you it). I played in a normal window, from time to time trying to launch this or that profile in InnerSpace, nothing worked.
5) Then I don't know what happened, maybe just time passed, I tried to launch Aion6 and it worked, and gave me a 32-bit window! Then another one, and finally I'm having 4 Innerspace windows now together with 1 normal window.

The game works almost normally in InnerSpace. 1 drawback is that when I select something like a guestbloom/hearthbloom (right-click) and then put my mouse cursor near it and try to rotate the camera (also right-click) it doesn't rotate but needs to unclick and click it again or click on a farther spot from a selected object to start rotating.

Can I try InnerSpace on my other computer with the same account/key?

Re: I'm new, can't launch Aion

Sounds all very confusing. I have no idea what a 64bit/32bit converter is, But I don't use one and can usually force things to run 32bit if I need them to. Its the ones that don't provide an option that are problematic.

Yes. The licence allows up to 5 computers or virtual machines at the same residential (physical) location.

Re: I'm new, can't launch Aion

Probably bad things happen to me after I write here about my success. :( I had 1 normal window and 4 in InnerSpace. The normal window crashed. I tried to open another window in InnerSpace - didn't work (same profile Aion6 that worked an hour ago). I started to open it the usual way, out of innerSpace - then it gave me the message "You can't run three or more game clients, the game is being shut down". All my game windows closed. :( I can't launch anything in InnerSpace anymore. I opened a normal window, and after that I can't launch InnerSpace either. All these things leave me without a clue to what I should do. :(

If InnerSpace can really force 32-bit, then please tell me how to do it?
If it started working for me stably I could stop using the 64-32 patch, but I tried today and it mostly crashed.
The 64-32 patcher I'm using now is an exe file directing Aion to use Aion.bin in Bin32 directory instead of Bin64 directory, something like that (I think they all do this), the file is here http://www.mediafire.com/download/iukfc ... atcher.rar

Are you now having Aion and launch it normally through Inner Space?

Where is any icon to run iSBoxer? Should I install it everytime I wanna run it?

Re: I'm new, can't launch Aion

So, I'm not interested in the 32/64 thing (I also don't have Aion installed on my local machine, and I'm definitely not downloading anything dodgy onto my remote). I imagine if it was a nice program, it will be modifying the NCLauncher.exe to always pass the -32 parameter to aion, and thus "force" 32bit.
Inner Space will only force "bitness" if it can, and for it to do so, then the launcher process has to provide a means to allow it to. In this case the NCLauncher does not appear to provide this, so you would be stuck with whatever the launcher process launches. Looking at the probable reason behind the desire for 32bit (no I don't need you to elaborate), then I'd suggest you unselect the other option in the Inner Space configuration, for "Use same-bit game clients if possible". This will prevent Inner Space from trying to do anything smart behind the scenes and will just let the launcher load what it loads (not that I think it does anything smart for Aion, but might as well turn off that code path).
Yes, I can launch Aion normally via Inner Space, and have a team play. I don't do anything fancy though and it all loads 64bit, because I am using a 64bit OS. I don't have any fancy need to not use 64bit.

I don't understand why you are loading some game instances from Inner Space/ISBoxer, and some outside? By doing so it means that the file redirections (including mutex/semaphores), that are sometimes needed so you can multibox with Inner Space/ISBoxer are not in place, so when the game checks to see if it is already running, it sees the things it is looking for to prevent you running multiple instances. You also need to be launching your ISBoxer Character Set for this to work. If you are launching the game profiles from the top of the Inner Space context menu (which I only suggested as a test to ensure the profile was working), then it wont have any of the redirections that ISBoxer puts in place. The redirections to allow multiple instances are part of ISBoxer, and not Inner Space, and will only be there when you attempt to load your team.

Seeing as you are getting further issues with not being able to load programs, missing items during installation etc., then I suspect your Antivirus heuristics are getting over zealous, and it is blocking the process. IOBit is known to be a program which does not get along with Inner Space. As I said earlier, disabling it and setting exclusions may work, and it does for some AV, but because it does not remove the filter drivers, which have hooked into the Windows kernel, then chances are it won't. From the description of you subsequent issues, I'd say it is still causing you issues.

The icons for Inner Space and ISBoxer Suite (the toolkit) should be installed to your Desktop by the installer process. If it is not, then something is probably blocking it (more than likely your AV). When you run Inner Space, it will load up, and put an icon in your System Tray (the notification area of your taskbar by the clock, sometimes you need to hit the little arrow thingy to see it). When running ISBoxer Suite, then it will be like any other application you run. You should not need to install it every time you want to run the program. That is just yet another indicator that there is something else going on.

Finally, of note and you may be aware of it, in your diagnostic, the processes

are reported via the great Oracle of Google, as being a potentially unwanted program. All the info I can find on this points to it being a browser hijack which then bombards you with advertising, and in some cases downloads malware. This may or may not be true. If it is not true and my google-fu has led me astray, and you know what this program does, super. Just putting it out there.

Re: I'm new, can't launch Aion

If it has not been clear from prior posts,
Uninstall IOBit completely (like all of it), reboot, test

Shut down or uninstall (for those with service you cant shutdown) other unnecessary programs included on this list (Raptr should be the second one). Then you can probably start with the things that are easily shutdown and not device drivers/services, but you may need to get down to the device drivers.

If, after doing all of that it still doesn't work, you're pretty much screwed, and would need to look at a clean install as far as I'm concerned. Whether you want to go that far is up to you.

Re: I'm new, can't launch Aion

To Bob:
Thanks for the reply.

I don''t have any AV and didn't have it for a long time.
I have Advanced System Care program by IOBit which includes a bundle of programs. Some of them like Smart Defrag, Driver Booster, Iobit Uninstaller are useful and I will miss them if I uninstall the full pack, or have to replace them by something. It normally includes IOBit Malware Fighter that is less useful (when I run it it only finds my onlineactivator for Samplitude that is a needful crack, and on-the-go it writes sometimes about removing harmful cookies but doesn't explain from they were). I uninstalled IOBit Malware Fighter today using IOBit uninstaller. Right now nothing launches in my Inner Space, since 5 windows were closed. I installed ISBoxer bundle yesterday when Iobit Malware Fighter was on.
Right now I found the icons on my desktop for InnerSpace and ISBoxer, so sorry for the misinformation that I didn't find them.
Do you think, bad work was caused by installing Lavish Software when Iobit Malware Fighter was present? Then I'll need to close everything and re-install Lavish software anew? Should I get rid of Advanced System Care or IoBit Malware Fighter is enough? Itself it also has "Spyware Threats" in its list when runs.

About Amigo, I'm not delighted by it, it's obsessive, thanks for the notice, I can uninstall it easily, I just wanted to have as many as possible browsers to keep different facebook logins, but I found and installed Flashpeak Slimjet yesterday, I hope it's better and safer?

I opened Aion both normally and in Inner Space not because I wanted it so but because it generally almost didn't launch and only once gave me some windows when a normal window (launched earlier) was present.

I don't completely understand why you write in one place that you don't have Aion installed on your local machine, but in another that you have it and runs good with InnerSpace?

PS:
Sorry, I only now noticed your later post about uninstalling stuff. Thanks, I'll try that tomorrow. But Google Chrome? I need it to speak with you and read stuff.

Re: I'm new, can't launch Aion

The process of uninstalling/shutting down programs is to remove anything that might be preventing you from loading up the games via Inner Space/ISBoxer. You have two choices. Go the whole hog, uninstall or shut them all down, get it working, and then load things on/up one by one, relaunching after each one, and find out where it breaks. Or you can do this in reverse, uninstall/shut them down one by one, and see when it starts to work normally.

You are right, you don't need to uninstall things like Google Chrome. But maybe close it so it is not running, although it could probably be near the bottom of the list of things you need to try. The things to uninstall, would be IOBit (all of it) and Raptr (AMD Gaming Evolved), and then work down the list for anything that is graphics/network/other services. Any services you cannot disable, you will need to uninstall. The remainder you can just close/exit the application. You can do it one by one if you like, but some things you should reboot after (IOBit), so if you have things on Autostart, then you'll have to make sure they are exited again.

Up to you on this one. I only brought it up because of the information available when I was checking what the processes you have running were. Some we know, others need a bit of quick research. If you know what it is, and need it, then as above, shut it down for testing.

For your multiboxing with Inner Space/ISBoxer to work correctly, you will need to run your team via the ISBoxer Character Sets submenu and not have any already running copies of the game. Other games may allow you to have other instances. Aion will detect already running ones and complain.

I have 5 computers. I'm currently typing away on a laptop in a location far away, but I have remote access into my main desktop. I had Aion installed on it from a while ago when I was testing it out. While I can test it over a remote link and see if things will load/run, it's not very playable (the screen refreshes are real slow). So I have patched Aion and I was running it yesterday, and can log into the game, select characters, and enter the world, all via Inner Space/ISBoxer. I didn't try and play it, because the control is terrible with a 400ms lag time, and a 10 second screen refresh.

I need to go soon, then be back and start uninstalling and trying, but 1 question now:

Can I only launch a certain team in ISBoxer? Most of the time I need not to load a team of 5 or 6 certain toons but open 6 randomly different toons to do fertilizing blooms, crafting, pvping or farming/gathering, morphing, trading with each other, going to the broker etc, one doing one thing, another another, and of my total of 48 toons, having 2 computers, 19 accounts, which 6 will be open at a time will be always different. Some accounts have 6 or 7 toons and I visit them every day. Later I will try of course to launch a team and learn to fight/dance/jump/whatever together but in the beginning I want to make sure I can launch the game and do my daily work in 6 windows, changing toons. Without this there will no sense to me no sense to me to buy this software for only rare times working as a team. So far I use 2 windows open normally and 2 windows in free Sandboxie version, it's 4 on each of 2 computers and it's bit enough for me, I want to have more for fertilizing and crafting. Yesterday I had a chance to have 4 InnerSpace windows together.

Re: I'm new, can't launch Aion

As a general rule, you configure a team of several characters, however, you can always log back to the character select screen and select another character.
Depending on the game foibles, and what you are doing, then you will effectively be setting up a team of several accounts, and you can choose whichever characters you like upon login.

If you happen to have in game macros to do certain features like Follow/Assist, or your game is funny about party member selectors (F1-F6 usually), then this may mean you need specific teams of characters, at which point you can log back to the character select on all accounts, select all the new party members, and then, with your games still running, you can right click the Inner Space icon, select ISBoxer Character Sets, and select your new team. Inner Space will recognise that the games are running, but adjust any of its internal configuration as needed.

If you are only using the software for window management, and wont be doing much in the way of team activities, then treat the set up as accounts rather than characters.
