Disabling the Windows Key

On most keyboards there is the Windows Key, and on mac keyboards its the Command Key. Normally when pressing this without inner-space up results in the set of a new line of command hot keys W+1 W+2 W+3 W+4 W+5... etc for the toolbar. When there are multiple games started on 1 computer, using inner-space the command key minimizes the game and tabs the windows, making the command hot key bar 'worthless.' Is there any way around this so that the W+1 keys still work? Disabling the windows key entirely only results in the key being treated as if it were not existent, I just want the mechanic of minimizing the windows to stop when I play in windowed mode.

I've never seen the command bar you're talking about with the Windows key, and normally to minimize the windows you need to hit Windows+M (for minimize all) or Windows+D (for show desktop). Therefore I have no idea how to disable the behavior you're seeing, but I'm guessing it's from some non-standard program installed on your PC.
