question on a problem

Well I am not sure what the problem is but while 5 boxing Lotro after maybe 2 hours of 6 man instance running my frames per second drop from a average of 60 or so down to less then 10 and the game gets very choppy. So far the only fix I have for this is a reboot of the PC and then everything is fine again. What could be the cause of this and how do I go about correcting it ? Thx in advance.....

Win 7 64 bit
12 GB DDR3
I7 930
120 GB SSD
GTX 480 1.5GB
2 x 24" monitors
