Logging characters to Character Select Screen...

Hey everyone, I'm hoping someone has an easy answer for this. I have a pretty straight forward Is boxer setup, nothing fancy. I have a 7 character setup I use allot, and like to log each character in manually. My problem resides when I want to switch a character out for another one, I would like log out to the character select screen instead of all the way out of game. My main character logs to the character select screen, the other characters I'm playing wont do that. I realize I'm no ISBoxer wizard, so I'm probably missing something in the setup, but I cannot seem to find an answer, can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure what ISBoxer has to do with how you log out of your character? How do you normally log out to the character selection screen? What is happening instead?

Re: Logging characters to Character Select Screen...

Hey, thanks for responding. So if im in game when I camp out, you usually go to the Character Select Screen so you can choose another character, or continue to exit from the game from there. As it is now, only one of my characters (main) when camping will go to the Character Select Screen. The others will completely exit game once camping is complete, hence I need to relaunch the instances again and re-log each one. I have tried using the cntr+x in game command which should camp a character to the Character Select Screen, and it doesnt work. If I bypass ISBoxer and load game directly with any of these characters, I can go to the Character Selection Screen just fine from within game by camping. I can only assume there is a posible setting or configuration im missing?....thanks.

Re: Logging characters to Character Select Screen...

I honestly don't know what to say, since ISBoxer shouldn't (and wouldn't) be affecting how the game does anything that it would normally do.

I'll assume you're broadcasting keys and/or mouse clicks up to this point, so... If you swap focus to any of the characters that are acting differently, and then manually log them out as you normally would, do they continue to behave incorrectly?

Re: Logging characters to Character Select Screen...

Hi, thanks again. Focus of character makes no difference. I don't broadcast or repeat, and I log each instance of character in and out of game manually throughout the login and log out processes, in game its only 1-= keys as normal. Character instances other than my main when camping out of game, will crash to desktop with EQ Client error, while the main character will go to the Character Select Screen (CSS) just fine. Direct commands such as cntrl=x which should send your character to the CSS will not work on any focused character other than main. Although I have tested my characters individually with through EQ going to the CSS, I haven't tested with multiple instances of the game to see If I can replicate the problem that way. I will do that later today and post my result. Daybreak adjusted the True Box code a while back, and im wondering if this is some kind of result from that. I will test today and post back with results, thanks again for your time and effort in assisting me.

Re: Logging characters to Character Select Screen...

Crashing to desktop as you mentioned in your last post, is not quite the same as "exit the game completely" you said in the prior. The former indicates some kind of failure, the latter that the game shut down gracefully.

It might help if you provide a compatibility diagnostic. There might be something obvious that shows up as a potential reason. Failing that, see if there is any kind of crash report/error messages/log that might be useful in tracking down the issue.

Re: Logging characters to Character Select Screen...

I tested multi sessions of EQ, and each character successfully logged out of game, and to the character select screen. I will now have to troubleshoot the problem from the perspective of its happening when running in ISBOXER. Thanks, I will update here.
