Windows 8 freeze

Hi;

I just bought a new computer with windows 8. I can run 6 clients fine with out ISboxer. When I run the 6 clients inside ISboxer windows freezes up every 5-10 minutes. I have to hard reset the PC, its not just the application locking up. I have the latest OS patches, graphics card drivers are up to date. When I ran multiple slots on my older PC with windows 7 I never had an issue.

Is anyone else running windows 8 with EQ?

You posted a reply while I was typing out mine, but I didn't want to edit my entire post, so here's the first half:

I'm going to say that when a machine completely locks up it's essentially "blue-screening" w/o the blue screen, and a blue screen is, as far as I know, always caused by a driver or hardware.

But because you have a completely separate computer with a different operating system makes things close to impossible to track down, but I might try ending all the processes in the task manager that you don't need to be running and possibly trying older versions of drivers that are available.

The Windows Event Log Viewer may have had time to write some information down before the computer locked up so I might check there as well.

As for the debug trace, here's what I found about wiaservc.dll on another forum:

Some of your logs seem to be pointing towards the files: wiaservc.dll and stisvc.exe which are the Windows Image Acquisition Service. This deals with imaging software being able to communicate with hardware such as digital cameras and scanners etc... I wonder if you have any of those devices attached to your PC?, if so please remove them for testing purposes. You can also try disabling the Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) service for testing purposes, see if that helps.

Thanks that did the trick, I killed the WIA task, and now it runs fine.
