4 Hard Drives and 4 EQ Directories... help
Ok.. I have 4 hard drives and each has an EverQuest directory that I run one toon from. A few years ago, in order to help with the HD read/writes you needed to put each boxed toon onto a different physical disk. This really helped me with zoning and playing.
Question is whether this is still advantageous and if so, how can I set up IS to load from each directory. I have done the "add game" option for each EQ directory and placed a different name on them say "EverQuest - Warrior" for my warrior and "EverQuest - Shammy" for my shammy. What other tricks or configurations should I do to optimize my performance. I am running an old P4 2.42 GHz processor with 2.5 GB ram and a good AGP graphics card. Each hard drive has lots of space with two of them SATA and the other are 7200 IDEs
