RageFire Server What will your setup be.

Trying to get ideas on what people will 2-6 box when the server goes live. And maybe why?

Has been many years since I played so wanted something simple
Also only on a laptop with internal video card so cant box too many things, I think 2 will be pushing it but will see...

duo strat= mobility/flexibility

dru/nec or dru/mag
druid for mobility(sow/ports), buffs/heals, pulling (snare), some damage
necro/magician for killing things, leveling, farming
Pair should work well together and take minimal effort
Additionally if I want to level toon #3#4#5etc... thorns+heals + necro dps should make this very fast and simple

I think I will go this strategy using a necro as I find them more fun and versatile

duo strat = tank/spank

sk/shm
sk w/pet for damage/pulling
shm for heals/buffs
SHM = troll inno so he can get snare beads
Probably troll sk for regen as well...

mnk/shm
mnk for pulling and dps
shm for heals and snare (troll inno)

mnk and sk will use bandages to help with downtime.

warrior/paladin/ranger/rogue I think will do insufficient dps
going with cleric as healer likewise I think it is important to up the dps as I think more damage will reduce downtime rather than more efficient heals

duo strat = dps

just dps everything to death
Nec is nice for pulling and survivability, mag is nice for dps

enc+mag/nec
enc would add some buffs and charm options with focus on dps but also have mez to help if things got bad.

Me and a buddy are going to be 3 boxing each and are also trying to figure out the best set up for a six-man team.

We are bouncing around:

Warrior / Shaman / Mage
Wizard / Cleric / Enchanter

If we do this group and you were to suggest something to swap for another character, what would it be?

Why this group? One, we are going to be casual. We don't want to burn out, but we want to do all the content we can without having to join a guild and do raids. We raided constantly when we played EQ for seven years and then when we played WOW. Now we just want to enjoy the game that we played when we first started in the world of MMOs.

To make the perfect group you need a warrior / cleric really for a six-man team. You need DPS and crowd control and buffs. We may swap out one of the characters for a bard for selos, but not sure yet.

What other six-man teams are people making?

I'm doing survivability, and ability to explore every single aspect of the game, so my setup will be (As it always is):

MONK: pulls, dps, corpse runs
WARRIOR: Tanking
CLERIC: Healing
DRUID: Buffs, transport, tracking
NECROMANCER: DPS
ENCHANTER: Buffs, slow, haste, mana regen, crowd control

I find very little content that I can't handle using this scheme. Turns out the warrior is the most complex class to play by far (requires 3 different rotations, one for aggro, one for defensives, and one for continued battle spam). I may replace the warrior with a shadowknight.. still pondering that one really hard.
