Trove Camera issue?

Hello I think I read somewhere that the camera and "out of sync" issue was fixed but it is definitely still happening for me. Also sometimes when I start up my different Trove accounts, the second one always seem to get really zoomed in and I can't click or press anything while the other 5 are totally fine

Hello I think I read somewhere that the camera and "out of sync" issue was fixed but it is definitely still happening for me.

You'll have to more fully describe what you mean, because you might just be looking at normal behavior that would happen in any game where you're turning with mouselook. (e.g. http://isboxer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=6437)

The camera issue you would have seen discussed is described is here... http://isboxer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=55&t=6443. The issue is VERY SPECIFICALLY that the CURSOR WAS NOT HIDDEN on the other windows when broadcasting mouelook. If you see the cursor in other windows with broadcasting mode on, and when you start broadcasting mouselook (holding down the button) it disappears, then it is probably working correctly. Unless for some reason you're specifically choosing to use an old version of Inner Space, it is probably working correctly.

Also sometimes when I start up my different Trove accounts, the second one always seem to get really zoomed in and I can't click or press anything while the other 5 are totally fine

This guy posted a workaround viewtopic.php?p=33426#p33426 you might be interested in until this issue is properly fixed

Edit: This "zoom" issue is now properly fixed as of Inner Space build 6087 or later. This is now the development build of Inner Space; to try it out, right click IS and select Patcher, tick "Download development (test) patches" and then close and restart Inner Space to let it patch up.

Re: Trove Camera issue?

What I mean is when I line all the cameras up on every screen and turn on broadcasting then they still walk different ways and I don't know if that is fixable and if the workaround you posted is what I would do to fix it. But I don't see a reason to multibox in Trove if the other "slaves" don't look the same way or do the same things

Re: Trove Camera issue?

Lax explained this in another Trove thread:

This is a limitation of multiboxing any game that does not have auto-follow. And in fact the basic answer from the FAQ entry (FAQ: Why do my toons move in different directions?) says to use the game's auto-follow feature if available in order to prevent this. Trove does not have auto-follow.

Basically what this means is that if you mean to move your characters around together, it's going to be difficult. Consider how hard it is to get your guys facing in EXACTLY the same direction, other than when you portal into somewhere. It's extremely difficult if not impossible to do. Even the tiniest difference in the direction they're facing is a problem across long distances. So you will need to take extra time and care to move around in a game like this. Even after you portal in and are in the same spot facing the same direction, slight differences in processing times between the game instances will begin to cause them to split up.

Then there's game mechanics that are going to split you up as well, for example knockback...

Re: Trove Camera issue?

So... i tested around for ~10 hours or so, and I still have the problem the mouse isn't recording right on the other screens. After a while or moving to fast around, the mouse is totaly wrong for my toons. U know how to fix this? I already tested around with CPU wizard and even tryed to play in 10fps. Not worked either :/

Edit: My toons mouse is moving behind my mainscreen mouse when i'm in the Menu,.. maybe this could be the problem?

Re: Trove Camera issue?

Synfair I'm not clear on what you're saying. When you say "the mouse is wrong or all your toons" are you saying you see mouse cursors and they are not in the same place? Or are you referring to the totally expected behavior that it is impossible to keep all of your characters exactly in the same position and facing exactly the same way?

Also, you want HIGHER FPS, not lower fps. You may want to try setting it to 60 foreground and 60 background, or 30 foreground and 30 background. You may have a better chance of staying together by keeping the FPS the same in all windows, while keeping it as high as you can manage.

Re: Trove Camera issue?

I would do a video, if my upload isnt so bad...

Well my mouse cursor is not syncron. Its on the same position, but not in the right time. To get the same point, I just join the hub and watch into the sky - so i'm watchting to South with all toons. Problem now: If I'm turing around somethimes the mouse on the toons isnt reaction correctly or to slow. So I'm losing the focus of my toons after time or to fast switchting around.

While in Menu (ESC) I can see the other mouses on the toons are on delay and dont do the exact same like my main screen. How can i solve this?

1. Show your configuration so I can understand your CPU Strategy as well as Window Layout http://isboxer.com/wiki/Configuration_Sharing
2. Within the game, with all of them running, press Ctrl+Shift+Alt+G to bring up the in-game ISBoxer Control Panel, then click "Capture State". (I don't recall off the top of my head if that is only in the debug tab, but if you dont see it click the debug tab.) This will Copy some basic information from each window, such as game resolutions and framerates, for you to Paste back to me.

Ideally all game resolutions should be identical, they should all be in the same cursor mode (if one is on menu and the others are not, of course it may seem different), and roughly the same framerate.

Re: Trove Camera issue?

Well done, for now I just teleport my 4 toons to my location and farming some skyshards, ores or Recepi Dungeons. Looks like without cheats it isnt doable to make this easy without d-syncs and co.

I purchased a year - thanks for all and the update :)
