Performance Help!
Hey guys, so i'm 4boxing FFXIV, and having some performance issues... Just curious if anyone can provide some assistance.
Here is my setup.
Alienware Aurora R3
i7-2600k Overclocked to 4GHz
16GB
2x GTX760 4GB
GPU1, i'm running Slot 1 (1920x1080)
GPU2, I'm running Slot2,3,4,5 (1920x1080) (5 is dxnothing)
GPU1 Core runs at about 50%
GPU2 Core runs at 90-100%
CPU all 4 cores 95-100% even when just standing around doing nothing
As for video settings, Slot 1 is set more or less at medium settings. Slot 2-4, I have basically everything turned down that I can think of.
As for CPU settings I've tried various configurations. All Shared, 1 core per client with the Slot4 sharing Core4 with DXNothing.
The short version is, that no matter what I do, my CPU is at 100% all the time, i'm guessing this is my real bottleneck, overclocking the CPU from 3.4GHz to 4GHz helped some but I'm still getting some disruptive lag.
I realize that GPU2 is pretty much pegged, and I could relieve some of the contention by moving one of the other Slots to that GPU, but ultimately I'm not sure that will matter as long as my CPU is pegged at 95-100% all the time.
Anyway, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Just let me know if you'd like more info.
