Heavsward crashing IS Boxer

I am trying to dualbox on Heavensward and when I go through IS Boxer as soon as I log in to FFXIV it crashes saying windows stopped working. This was working just fine before the 3.0 patch. Any thoughts?

A diagnostic would likely be more helpful than your profile, but if it doesn't reveal anything out of the ordinary then I'm not really sure since I just tested IS with both DX9, as well as their new experimental DX11, and was able to launch a game client without any issues.

It is something to do with DX11. I launched the client fine with DX9. FFXIV will load without IS Boxer with DX11 but for some reason crashes when I load a profile in DX11. I'll just use DX9 for now. Thanks for the assistance.

As far as ffxiv_dx11.exe itself, this new exe is not recognized as FFXIV by Inner Space at the moment and so mouse control is broken in DX11 mode. A fix for that will be coming shortly.

As far as the crash I would try shutting down other running programs to see if the behavior stops. I assume your video drivers are up to date via the GeForce Experience program, so I won't tell you to update them. But if there are any application-specific settings selected for ffxiv_dx11 in your nvidia settings, that could be related to the problem.

I'll look into it later today and see if I can figure out what it is. My drivers are up to date.

I'll also point out that you're running both Norton and Kaspersky side by side, and while they are unlikely the cause of the issue, it's not all that ideal to do that since AV-type programs tend to fight against each other.

You may also want to try shutting down those unimportant Asus programs since, fairly recently, someone ran into an issue with one of them causing a crash.

Thanks. The Norton one is not AV but family online to keep my kids off certain sites. I'll shut down the others. I had them up for testing my new CPU and GPU.

Is there a fix for this coming? Just jumped back into this game and can't launch via ISboxer unless it's set for dx9.
