Weird mouse broadcasting issue using multiple PCs

I decided to give Marvel Heroes a try the other day, but I've been thwarted before I've even had a chance to log in because of a strange issue I'm encountering with broadcasting.

My setup involves three computers. A master PC running one account and two slave PCs running two accounts each. Now, for some reason, mouse broadcasting fails to work in the top-most windows on the slave PCs (I'm using a stacked window layout). So, if I'm broadcasting from the master PC, two of the five accounts will not get any input. If I'm broadcasting from either of the slave PCs, one account will not receive input--the top-most window on the other slave PC. This behaviour holds true regardless of which character is swapped to the top. The windows on the bottom of the stack on each computer work fine. The window on the master PC works fine.

I might be overlooking something I should have done in InnerSpace, but I've used 2-PC setups for various games in the past and never experienced anything like this. I'm positive my config isn't the issue because I encountered problems using a (mostly-unmodified) config made with the Quick Setup Wizard as well. Has anyone else seen anything like this? Or is able to replicate the problem?

Even with this ultra bare-bones config, I'm still experiencing the problem:

I forgot to emphasize that key broadcasting works flawlessly. But that's the only clue I have to work with at the moment.

Re: Weird mouse broadcasting issue using multiple PCs

So I've found a workaround to my problem that I thought I'd share.

I mentioned in my original post that mouse broadcasting to background windows appeared to work without issue. That got me thinking: What would happen if all of my slave PC accounts operated as background windows? And there lied the answer. By placing dxNothing windows in the foreground on each of my slave PCs, I've been able to restore the expected mouse broadcasting behaviour to my setup. I still have a few layout tweaks to make, but for now I'm just glad the game is operable.
