Hello! I have a problem with using RAM.
When I play WOW, WOW uses 2300 MB of RAM, and after an hour WOW uses 800 MB! I changed the settings in different ways, tried all the combinations.
System configuration:
Notebook ASUS GL 703VD.
Windows 10 Home, 8 GB RAM, GeForce GTX 1050, Inte (R) Core (TM) i7-7700HQ.
Help me understand what's wrong.

It doesn't sound like anything is wrong, but if you want to save on RAM usage, then you should be using DirectX 11 Legacy with your settings turned down (including render scale), as well as reducing the amount of add-ons you run. Other than that, there isn't anything you can do that is going to reduce the RAM usage, and the game is going to use what it wants to use in order to operate—it's not a static number that never changes.

I'll add that we've been telling people for years now to budget for, at least, 2GB of RAM per game client, and I, personally, would never recommend only 8GB of RAM in a system that someone wants to multibox with, unless they: A) could upgrade the amount of RAM in their system, and/or B) were playing 2-3 accounts, at most.

you know i have noticed that too (20gb memory)
wow is using up to 4gb of memory per client
but it used to not do that due to the fact i could multibox on one screen and surf on the other now i can only multibox
this is the same with all addons disableed and setting at lowest
layout of memory useage:
logon 800MB
toon select: 1.2 gb
logged in: 3.8gb (with or without addons) (low setting)
as time continues: 4.2gb
have started using cleanmem to flush memory but still only have 2gb memory left to surf
running firefox causes lag in game and surfing
something has diffidently changed with wow in the past couple of weeks when i noticed this change in memory usage (3-4-19)
will run capsa and wireshark to check for wow coms
have not noticed any unknown processes running
larges usage is wow.exe and firefox.exe

Yes, they keep rolling out patches, which changes stuff.
