HELP! Inner space not working

DL'd 6187 and tried running several times and every time I get the error message "the application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)."

Some background on my issue: I had taken a break for MB for 2 weeks or so right at the time all of this started. Resubbed my accounts but couldn't get them to work so I found this thread (World of Warcraft 7.3.0 Compatibility - Update Sep 10 2017) and got everything to work by installing Windows 10 and allowing development patches. 7.3.0 really taxed my graphics card (GTX 780) so I figured it's time for an upgrade. Got a 1080ti and installed it but innerspace won't launch now :( . It gives me the hourglass like its running then nothing. So I tired the 6187 and it won't even load onto my computer w/o the above error message.

Blah, $779 for a new graphics card plus the resub costs for 5 accounts and I can't MB.

Any help would be appreciated.

As requested by Bob, here is my diagnostic of inner space:

Re: HELP! Inner space not working

You should first remove the compatibility that is currently set on Inner Space to see if that changes anything.

1) Locate the Inner Space executable
2) Right-click on it
3) Compatibility tab
4) Un-check the compatibility mode box

Okay, I changed it. Nothing different though.

Re: HELP! Inner space not working

You had 8 WoW processes running, and you managed to select the Inner Space.exe???
That aside,
  1. I would shut down all WoW processes as presumingly that you aren't multiboxing just yet, you've a bunch of hung processes in the background.
  2. You may need to set an exclude on InnerSpace.exe and WoW.exe and Wow-64.exe in your anti software.
  3. A detail copy of the crash report would be useful.

Then you should start your own thread, rather than hijack someone else's who is having a different issue and doesn't even have the same error message.

That said, let me point you to the Wow 7.3 Patch thread which directly addresses your issue (I even believe this is stickied, and would have been found with a cursory search with your error message).
Read the first post.

Haha. I saw them. This isn't my forte and since it was inner space giving the problems that's why I chose it. I'll work on it tonight after work.

Would an option be to back up my profiles and simply uninstall/reinstall isboxer and innerspace?

Yes that is an option. Not sure it will help much, but people seem happy to try it out.

gankishkhan wrote:since it was inner space giving the problems
You mean the crash is when you try and start InnerSpace? If so, then that would make the diagnostic make more sense. It also makes it a bit more tricky to work out why, but would even more likely point to some other piece of software not playing nice.
Usually the issue is when attempting to have InnerSpace launch a game, which is why we tend to prefer the diagnostic on the game executable.

You are correct I believe, in that innerspace loads in my tray just fine. When I attempt to launch the game is when 'nothing' happens. Us novices have a hard time distinguishing when one process ends and another begins I suppose. I'll skip the reinstall and opt to paste what I hope is the correct diagnostic below. Let me know if I've yet again screwed the pooch.

Re: HELP! Inner space not working

The diagnostic didn't show much that was different than the previous, which isn't completely unexpected. The error number is INAVLID_IMAGE_FORMAT, and is most often caused by an incorrect DLL loading, i.e. a 32bit DLL loading into a 64bit process or something along those lines. It migt also just be a corrupted file.

Things to try
  1. Reboot your computer if you haven't already
  2. Reinstalling InnerSpace.
  3. Set an exclude in Nortons (your AV?) on InnerSpace.exe and WoW.exe and WoW-64.exe
  4. Reinstalling Direct9 X SDK
  5. Try the .NET repair tool (for .net35)
  6. Update Windows
  7. Verify what Inner Space is actually loading when you tell it to launch a game, and making sure it is the retail blizzards WoW. Give us a copy/paste or SS of the Inner Space console after a launch attempt. Fix your Game Profile if necessary. Note: any custom game launchers may cause grief at this time.
  8. Reinstall the game
