ISBoxer made for WOW: help give me more fps!!
Hi, I need help with my FPS. I am at 30 fps on main window (Samsung 23 inch monitor native resolution is 2048X1152) and wow is running at 1024x768. Second monitor is a Philips 15 inch native resolution is 1024X768 running at 1024X768. I have 3 accounts, 1 Pally and 2 Mages all blood elves. Running 1 toon on my main (Samsung) and 2 on my philips with a empty region for my main when not active. My system is windows xp home edition, processor is amd 955 X 4 stock speed 3.2 ghz. I have it overclocked to 3.640 ghz. I have 2 gbs of ram, running ocz ddr3 1366 mhz, have 250 gb HD 7200 rpm ide drive. Main video card ATI 4850 1gb running at stock speed. My motherboard is ma790fxt-ud5p gigabyte. Has 2 pci-x slots ready for crossfire. I know crossfire isn't good for isboxer I have an ancient ati radeon X550 video card with 256 mbs of ram. I have all my settings set medium-low my 3 toons are level 27. I would like to be able to switch between my 3 toons at anytime and have all my settings and fps as high as possible as I want any of my toons to be my main toon at anytime on my main screen(samsung) with highest fps and resolution possible.fps on my main is 22-30 fps and fluctuates constantly between this range. I have $300 Cdn to play with . Any suggestions from any and all of you hardcore multiboxer.I was thinking an ati 5850 1gb 0r upgrade my os to windows 7 64 bit and memory to 4gb i have both of my ati cards plugged in but having display issues i need a step by step walk through for two different video cards if thats the suggestion ?
