As title says, it's known isboxer cannot work with flash projector yet but i didnt know. So instead of complaining about it, I'd like some ideas/tricks I can use isboxer with! I don't mmo these days.

Or is it worth getting support for rotmg?

RotMG should work through steam. http://isboxer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=1885&start=10#p8648

There are also many F2P games available, Lord of the Rings Online is popular, and Star Trek Online.

Hmm, very niche application for Rotmg compatibility.

can ISboxer run instances in a local VM?

So I went to test this this morning and found that I can multibox ROTMG, using the official Adobe Flash Projector software.

Followed these instructions http://forums.wildshadow.com/node/10778
ou may have heard that running the game as a standalone helps increase fps. However, most of you probably don't know how to get a standalone without trusting that a member of the forum's link won't infect your computer. You will need to download the appropriate flash player projector from here http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html and get the link to the RotMG .swf(that's a flash file).

Press Ctrl+U on the website to play Realm to look at the source, and look for a "xxxxxx.swf".

Open the flash player projector and open a new file. Paste this along with the site's url into the dialog box.
(It should look like this http://www.realmofthemadgod.com/AGCLoader1317321462.swf)

And you're done!

You can also create a projector JUST for Realm if you wish. Just do the above and click File>Create Projector. This executable will always open Production for you.

P.S. In the future you may have to use a different "xxxxxxx.swf" according to the source because the creators might change the file in which the game is stored.(This happens on Testing quite often!)
P.P.S. You can also create standalones of any of your favorite flash games this way!

In detail:
1. Download Adobe Flash Projector from http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html. The one I got says "Download the Windows Flash Player 11.1 Projector (EXE, 7.76MB)" (for Windows)
2. You will need the URL of the current Realm of the Mad God SWF file. As of this post, it is http://www.realmofthemadgod.com/AGCLoader1331599726.swf, however this changes every time the game has an update. To get the URL, go to realmofthemadgod.com and you will need to "View Source", for example with Ctrl+U in your browser, and find the part that looks like this:
Code:
     <object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
         id="AGCLoader1331599726" width="640" height="640"
         codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/swflash.cab">
         <param name="movie" value="AGCLoader1331599726.swf" />
         <param name="quality" value="high" />
         <param name="bgcolor" value="#000000" />
         <param name="wmode" value="direct" />
         <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" />

This is where ROTMG gets "embedded" into your browser. This part has the filename <param name="movie" value="AGCLoader1331599726.swf" />. Copy the AGCLoader???.swf part from there, and attach it to the end of http://www.realmofthemadgod.com/ so that you get http://www.realmofthemadgod.com/AGCLoader1331599726.swf (with the numbers from the web page, not this post!)
3. In Adobe Flash Projector, go to "File, Open" and enter the URL, which MUST have the http:// part at the beginning, and tell it to Open it.
4. If you did that part right, ROTMG should now open in the Adobe Flash Projector program. Now you can create a standalone exe! In the File menu, select "Create Projector...". This makes the exe, just put in whatever file in whatever path you want ROTMG to be.
5. ADD YOUR NEW STANDALONE EXE TO INNER SPACE! To do so, right click IS in the system notification area and select Add Game. Point it at your exe!

This was tested on Windows 7, should work. :) I'll be posting more information about this today

This info has now been added to the wiki:
* Realm of the Mad God main page
* HOWTO: Multibox a flash game

Screenshot from the ROTMG page:

The little menu you see on each window is slightly annoying for multiboxing, I can get rid of that in the near future :)

Lax,

Could you please test this still works?

We had a RotMG trial user in the chat room earlier. After not understanding what he was seeing I later went and followed the instructions for myself. It appears that IS is not hooking the executable I made with Flash Projector (downloaded file was flashplayer_11_sa_32bit.exe). I am on the latest development patch of IS.

Of course, it may just be my inability to follow instructions. If so, please ignore this post...

Alge

In case it helps, the output from IS console...

Code:
/====================================================
|
| 20:08:52 ISBoxer: Preparing to launch Character Set 'Test'
| 20:08:52 ISBoxer: Settings imported from ISBoxerToolkit.GeneralSettings.XML
| 20:08:52 ISBoxer: Making sure Characters in Character Set 'Test' are valid...
| 20:08:52 ISBoxer: Good!
| 20:08:52 ISBoxer: Launching Character Set 'Test' ...
| 20:08:52 ISBoxer: Launching Slot 1 Character 'Char1'
Successfully executed '"D:\Games\RotMG\RotMG.exe"'.
| 20:11:52 ISBoxer: Character from Set 'Test' not fully launched after 3 minutes. Select
again to continue launching additional slots.
| 20:11:52 ISBoxer: Instructions completed.
|
\====================================================

and here is the window that is launched:

Alge, see #1 below ;)

If anyone is having trouble with ROTMG not working with the recommended setup:
1. Make sure your Flash setting for Hardware accelerated graphics is enabled.

2. Build 5560 of Inner Space includes some compatibility fixes that should fix remaining cases. 5560 is currently the development build of Inner Space, for anyone who would like to try it: right click IS in the system notification area, select Patcher, check "Download development (test) patches", then close and restart Inner Space to let it patch up.
