Framerates

I am having trouble getting the background screens to be smooth. The main screen runs beautifully... The other thumbnail screens are choppy (maybe 2 or 3 frames per second). At some point I saw all the windows run smooth, and I don't know how to change it so they all run smooth. Where do I look to start tweaking to make them right?

Are you actually using videoFX or are you referring to a standard Windows Layout?
