Confused, how do I get this done?

I read a bunch on this and nothing turned out the results I wanted.

So even if you post up links on how to, that would help.

Heres what I want:

I have a 3 window diablo setup. The main screen (2/3 of the left side, vertically and horizontally) has a small gap underneath it. I have two small clients to the right of this to fill the length of the monitor. So there is a good 1/4 or 1/3 ish amount of screen unused at the bottom.

I would like to have the health globes/resource balls from the small extra clients showed below the main screens. My monitor is a wide screen and I hate to look right to see their health. I would rather look at my health and have small versions of their health globes beneath mine so I can keep an eye on them.

Dont need broadcasting or anything extra, just literally want a snippet from their clients pasted below my main client (or even inside it if it must be).

How do I go about starting this?

You're looking for dxNothing in order to add a window to fill such a gap, and Video FX for the actual view functionality. Note that you may expect to change your Window Layout to be able to set up what you want without it looking pixellated.

Since screen-space is limited in Diablo it's probably better to use only a portion of the large globes and turn them into bars, like this - http://i3.minus.com/ibxCzB5Y7fKqNN.png :)

Alright, read both those sources twice, tried it and it doesnt work.

Is anyone able to write up a method to get this done for just one? Ive done those steps exactly and just get green screens and windows all over the place that do absolutely nothing.

You need DWM enabled in Windows. This is also known as Aero. It's on Vista or later but if you're not on Windows 8 you may have disabled it, and if you're on Windows XP you just don't have it. Without DWM/Aero enabled, you will only ever get green screens.

It's a your normal screen for play? With this bar near middle of the screen?
If no, can you show how you do placement of each item? (also see maps is little bit modified ;) )

Yes, it's how I play, but I've since moved the healthbars down a bit - http://i.imgur.com/B2XetS2.png
They're just two dxNothing windows with VFX Viewers on them. I'm actually thinking of trying to make something so I can move Region 6 around with a bit more ease without having to export each time.

EDIT: Updated my Window Layout and I think I'll be using this moving forward - http://i1.minus.com/iyeZOWd44i5wM.png

I never would have thought of creating vertical health bars out of the globes. Well done sir.

Thanks for the links and aero enabling.

I thought it was, but after doing it a third time, I went to double check that and yes aero was disabled. Its now working perfectly.
