My guess is that you're one of the unlucky people being affected by Trion's recent patch. Lots of people were reporting crashes every few
minutes on the Trion RIFT forums.

There are threads on the RIFT forums about random crashes since a recent patch. Nothing has changed in IS/ISBoxer-land.

I'm looking into the issue but at the moment we think it's related to the other new crashes in the client.

One thing to note is that your rift.cfg files are virtualized by default with ISBoxer, so if they changed something in the default one your config files might need to be reset. You can do that by deleting (or moving/renaming if you're into the whole backup thing) the rift-charactername.cfg files in the same place the config file usually is. Something to try, anyway.

Hi Lax

I never thought it was related to ISBoxer, but sure feel good about you looking into it.
I had read about the config file on the official forums too. I am going to try that right now, and will let everyone know how it goes.

Thanks

Well deleted all my config file.
Launched all 5 clients and reset all graphic settings to lowest, and I still crash.

I am trying setting the MainThreadCPU to 0 in the config file. Supposedly that is a performance tweak.
Not sure it will help.

Also, I know this thread is probably not the best place to ask, but Lax would it be possible to add a property somewhere that disables Areo.
There is a setting you can set on Compatibility (part of the properties for the exe file) to disable visual themes and Desktop composition. I could just go ahead and set it for Rift.exe (or any other game for that matter), but I don't really want to disable it when playing solo.

Update: Setting the MainThreadCPU to 0 did not fix crash. Guess I wont be boxing Rift anytime soon.
