Two Cards....one monitor.......

Was thinking about picking up a larger monitor (Dell U3011 - 2560x1600) which has two DVI ports. I was wondering ...... can I connect two cards to the monitor (non-SLI) and have ISboxer render clients 1 (main) and 2 (slave) from one card and clients 3 and 4 (both slaves) from the other.

Re: Two Cards....one monitor.......

Okay I know nothing very little about the monitor but based some minimal research, yes you could do that but only one of them will be active and you will need to switch between the inputs to see the others. There is some sort of picture in picture function that could potentially let you see both sources, but I wouldn't bet on it. Either way, performance-wise, the usual GPU Management rules apply -- if you run two cards non-SLI, you will not be able to have ISBoxer move a window from one monitor to another powered by the other card (e.g. move 3 into 1's position) without a performance hit.
