Turn on the key repeater periodically and hit your movement keys.

If its AV, you could have all of your toons hearth via the AV Trinket.
That places them outside of the building that your General is in.

If its another BG, then you can run the smaller group in the direction of the larger group.
And then control that larger group, and move them towards the Graveyard that the other toons have rezzed at.

If you have toons with the capability of rezzing your other toons, that simplifies matters.
Don't release, until you either have a survivor to rez the fallen or until they all die and will rez in the same place.
