My 1st gen G15's G keys are not being seen

I have a 1st gen Logitech G15, and the G keys are not being seen. I have an ISBoxer profile I put together on a different machine, and brought it over to this one. I changed the key codes to the generic GXX and MXX which I believe the original G15 requires. Nothing.

I downloaded buttontest.iss and have ran it. Other keys on that keyboard show up, but not the G or M keys. The switch on the keyboard is in game mode (the joystick).

I downloaded Lavish.ButtonTester.exe, but it crashes immediately (64-bit Windows 10).

I would hate to retire this keyboard just for this. Any suggestions?

The first one would be to exit Inner Space, rename/delete the InputDevices.xml file in the Inner Space install folder, and then restart Inner Space and let it regenerate the file.
Second would be to run the Logitech software for the keyboard, and make sure the profile that the keyboard is using is clear (i.e. all G keys are unassigned). If you will leave the LGS running while gaming, then it will need to run as admin.

That's about it so far.

Thanks. The profile is clear on the G15. I have done the same on my G13 and that G13 is working. The LGS software does not interfere with my G13, although I have tried things both ways.

I've deleted the XML file, and restarted IS. A new XML was generated. Buttontest shows nothing for the G or M keys. So sad.

I pulled out the G510 in the other room. The keys are all seen on this device.

Might need Lax to make the buttontester work for you then so the appropriate codes can be retrieved.
Do you get an error message that can be pasted?

No errors, or any messages. Button presses were just ignored. This is odd since the G15 is an older keyboard. I expect that it was the first to be supported, thus the GXX and MXX codes rather than device specific ones.

A quick update. I never did figure out the G15 issue. I have a G510 I was able to use in its place which is working. I should seriously consider using the G13 for major stuff, as it is going to be hard finding a replacement keyboard with 18 G keys in the future.

Hmm. Would ISBoxer support *two* G13s?????? :D
