Trouble with Follow

Hello,

I'm new to ISBoxer and Multi-boxing as well. I am trying to get a team going, and am having difficulty with follow.

I am running 5 instances of the game, and have Jamba as well. I ran through the wizard to setup my team, and everything appears to be working.

The problem I'm having, is that my master always switches to follow a slave, which is obviously a problem. Since it happens repeatedly, I assume it has something to do with strobing and my jamba setup. But, I'm not familiar enough with either application to find the problem.

Your help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Re: Trouble with Follow

Okay, here's the thing. A lot of people check the follow boxes in the Quick Setup Wizard because it sounds like a great idea. But sometimes the strobing feature is an annoyance.

What I recommend you do is re-create your team with the Quick Setup Wizard, but this time leave off the enabling of strobing when you switch characters.

You can manually turn on strobing after that if you like, by hitting Shift+Alt+F. The same key would toggle it back off. Alt+F can be used to auto-follow again if follow broke and you don't want strobing on. These Hotkeys can be configured in the General Key Map.

Re: Trouble with Follow

I like to have normal follow, but not strobe, on a character switch.
But really, its a preference thing.

Strobe is great, for movement over longer distances.
And any time you will have melee/hunters in combat, as your moving from A to B.
Melee breaks follow, but Strobe continually puts it back on.

Aside from that, Strobe can be a bit annoying.

Pretty much, either disable follow (on a switch) entirely.
And hit follow or strobe when you want it.

Or go with normal follow.
Which you can break by broadcasting backspace (all windows without current, will break slave follow).
I like to have each arrow key for (all windows without current), for independent slave movement.

Whichever way you go, you'll get used to it fairly quickly.
