Server Transfer

I'm planning on transferring one team from Cenarius-US (Alliance) to Magtheridon-US (Horde).

Three toons will transfer with their names intact.
The other two toons will not be able to have their exactly the same name.
So I will end up changing the ascii code for one of their letters to a different name.

I'd like to keep the exact same IS Boxer configuration.

Am I better off logging the team on, then logging them off...
Then creating the team from scratch...
And dragging the old Keymap onto the newly created team...

Or just dragging the new names, onto the existing team.
And editing mapped keys, so they refer to the correct/new names...?

Or can I just right-click > rename, each of the options within the Toolkit.
I notice there is no option to rename Virtual Files.

Re: Server Transfer

Just renaming the characters, exporting and reloading the in-game UI will work for most things. Your character sets, action target groups, key maps, click bars, etc will all be updated. The only thing I am aware of that will need to be changed manually is if you use World of Warcraft Macro Actions or World of Warcraft Named Macro Actions with the character names in them.

With the virtual files, they will still be virtualised under the old name. That isn't an issue as far as I am aware; you could virtualise them as any name you wanted.

Click on Config.WTF in the top pane, in the bottom pane click on the character, edit the filename in the bottom right pane.
