Dumps to desktop 2 seconds in

Yesterday when I installed ISBoxer I seem to have everything working. I was able to launch my accounts from the IS profile and get into Everquest successfully.

Today, not so much. When I launch from IS, the game panel comes up for for 2 seconds and then everything quits and dumps to desktop. This happens when in patch or nopatch mode. The patching system works correctly, I enter PW and the game starts. 2sec later it dumps me out.

Since I've been working this I've turned off IAM and my AV. Basically nothing is running. I don't understand why it worked the first day and not since. I've uninstalled, reinstalled and reinstalled .net35

I get the following messages: Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Dumps to desktop 2 seconds in

Still would help to have the Hijack This! logs I asked for in the chat room (as explained in http://isboxer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=1251), otherwise the only thing left for me to suggest is for you to reset your eqclient.ini files...

Re: Dumps to desktop 2 seconds in

Okay, looks like you probably have "Forceware Intelligent Application Manager" aka NVIDIA Firewall. This is not necessary, is not compatible with Inner Space and a bunch of other applications, and if you want it can be replaced with other free firewall software that works better. e.g. Windows Firewall, or Zone Alarm.

Re: Dumps to desktop 2 seconds in

It worked the first time! The catch will be to see if it still works tomorrow.

BTW, I went into msconfig when you first sent me the list of apps that don't work with this tool. I unchecked IAM (turning off that NVIDIA app) and rebooted.

That obviously does not fix the problem. FYI. Also, in the instructions from the link you just posted, there is no "Modify". Its either repair or remove it completely. I uninstalled it entirely.

Thanks,
B
