Loading a Character Set from Innerspace

I'm not sure what happened or what I did, but everytime I load a character set from IS, it takes fooooorever to load the game clients, like a good minute or two before the first client even starts. Any ideas what could cause this to happen?

I have Windows Vista Home 64-bit. I don't have a lot of stuff running in the background. So it shouldn't be a CPU/memory issue.

Thanks in advance if anyone has any ideas!

Re: Loading a Character Set from Innerspace

Pull up the Task Manager and watch the Processes tab during launch, particularly the CPU column. If it has to do with a running program you should see something using up a lot of CPU.

If it's the first time you're launching it after a fresh reboot, then it's not really out of the ordinary (Windows should have things cached after the first one is up), and that would probably point to the speed of your hard drive

Re: Loading a Character Set from Innerspace

I actually had to completely uninstall IS and reinstall it for the problem to be resolved. I know that's no help to you but that is what solved my problem.

Thanks again for a great piece of software.
