Your understanding of the issue is incorrect. I am using 1440p myself.

Did you try setting the game to fullscreen mode instead of windowed?

yep tried all 3 options and all what bob suggested too. maybe its this specific game engine then as i havent tried WoW in 4k yet.

I had "microsoft asp.net mvc 4 runtime" installed and had the same problem.
Might wanna check if it's that.
