Half of the screen black

Using a 4k monitor with 4k res but i dont think that should affect window layouts as the layouts were made automatically but for some reason half of the screen is black. I have tried running the game in 4k res and 1080p but no luck.

Re: Half of the screen black

repost..
[17:43] <@bob> StormerJack: I looked at your post, just had no answer as to why that would be happening.
[17:44] <@bob> maybe display scaling, but it seems like an odd effect. If it was actually half the screen, I'd suggest it might be because you have a dual panel 4k screen and probably need to use multiple hdmi cables to drive it, but I dont know.
[17:48] <@bob> if you have an nvidia card, you could try downgrading the drivers to v359.06 or 358.91

so, check display scaling, make sure it is not enabled.
downgrade your graphics drivers to an earlier release. If you use NVidia, then try the ones I've suggested above
then if you still have the issue, get a Capture State from the debug menu of the in game ISBoxer GUI - CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+G (actually brings about the question of does the ISBoxer GUI display in the black area? do any other apps display in that area when it happens and you tab out to them?)
and then probably get a diagnostic for crashes (yes, I understand it's not crashing) while the game is doing that.

Thanks for the reply although i said in the chat i had already tried these things :( also its only isboxer that is doing it, it doesent happen any other time. ill have a look at capture state now as i have never used it before.

Re: Half of the screen black

oh yeah... sry, I didn't recall that :). ATI card. I'd still try downgrading the drivers. Usually back to the last Catalyst release (rather than the current Crimson). Also make sure you don't have that Raptr Gaming Evolved thingy installed/running.

Re: Half of the screen black

Ok,

So the State is showing that the rendering space is correct as well as the display space. I didn't really expect it to be wrong, but worth checking.

The diagnostics doesn't show anything out there. Teamviewer is hooking your game, so maybe shut that down.
Perhaps try DX11 mode in game.

Failing that Shutdown the following and see if it changes anything.

Re: Half of the screen black

Just letting you know it works if i set desktop to 1920x1080 and run the game in 1920x1080 just seems like ISBOXER doesent quite support 4k (desktop) yet or even 1440p as i tried that too. but still get the same result but obviously with a slightly small black box due to less width. Ill just have to adjust my res to 1920x1080 everytime i want to multibox.

Re: Half of the screen black

Quite a few of us have 4K screens.
MiRai certainly does; so do I.

It might be something specific to the game, but it seems a bit weird.
