Re: "Trigger only once" checkbox clarification?
Regular DPS Rotation Mapped key in Class Keymap:
Step 1: Do Debuff 1 (first 4 steps call for mapped keys with specific spells, each of those have 2 steps with timed "dont not advance to" and set to Step etc. like in discussions above)
Step 2: Do Debuff 2
Step 3: Do Dot 1
Step 4: Do Dot 2
Step 5: Do "DPS Roll" in Combat Keymap.
"DPS Roll" Mapped Key in Combat Keymap:
Step 1:
-Do DPS Action Zero
-Do DPS Macro 1
-Do DPS Macro 2
DPS Action Zero is a blank mapped key in Combat Keymap.
DPS Macro 1 and DPS Macro 2 are Variable Keys pointing to a hotbar locations where my Vanguard stadard dps macros are (normally DPS Macro 1 is a macro that has all reactions like /reactionchain 1, /reactioncounter 2 etc., and DPS Macro 2 is normal DPS macro without certain dots and debuffs)
Now, when I want any action "insinuated" into my Regular rotation, like Heavy hitting spells for burst dps, I have a separate hotkey that virtualizes "DPS action zero" into anything I want for a timed duration. So "DPS ROll" Mapped key will now include the new action (normally distributed via Virtual Keymap to everyone) with top priority for x seconds. Same hotkey can also be made to force the initial rotation to Step 5 if you prefer to bypass debuffs and dots. I do AoEs, heals, and all "special situations" in this manner because if for some reason the desired spell is unavailable, at least I'll have DPS Macro 1 or DPS Macro 2 to fire.
P.S. BTW good news - looks like Lax is amenable to adding "Step State" some time soon
